Garden rooms come under the permitted development umbrella which means as long as it meets certain conditions, you don't need planning. The main conditions are that the garden room has a footprint of less than 15 square metres, is under 2.8 metres high, no felling, lopping or limbing of any tree is required and it's behind the house as opposed to closer to the highway, you're all golden!

The walls, roof and floor are all made from SIPs.
